It has been a tough couple of years for Prithvi Shaw. Shaw, who was once considered to be the next big thing in Indian cricket, was dropped by Mumbai from the Ranji Trophy squad and the batter also did not find any takers in the IPL 2025 auction. Amid rumours about his fitness and lifestyle, Prithvi has come under a lot of fire from both fans as well as experts. In an interview with News24 Sports, the 25-year-old finally opened up about his struggles and said that he was distracted from the game.

“I have taken some wrong decisions in life. I feel that I started giving less time to cricket. I used to spend almost half of my day at the ground till 2023. But after that, I started giving importance to the wrong things. I made some wrong friends. At that time, I was at the top and this is the time when you attract a lot of friends. I got off-track and my time at the ground went down from 8 hours to just 4 hours,” Prithvi said.

Prithvi also opened up about the low phase he went through following his grandfather’s death.

“There are a lot of things. It’s not just that. I had a family problem. My grandfather had passed away. He was very dear to me. There are a lot of things that I can’t tell you. But I can feel it.”

“I admit my mistakes. But my dad has always supported me. No matter how bad my time was. He has seen good and bad,” he added. 

Prithvi has found himself in the news recently after he decided to leave Mumbai and play for another team in the Ranji Trophy. He has even received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association.

• Speaking of spending money on such purchases without thinking, once one is able to afford it, he added, “I have always been a crazy petrol-head. I have really been into cars and bikes. People who are into cars and bikes like me, and people who can afford, them mostly have these collections. The difference is mine is talked about, while my friends who have better collections than me are not in the public eye, because they mostly belong to the corporate world, theirs are not talked about. So, if someone is a petrol-head like me, once you can afford it without thinking, you will have it because I don’t like spending money on anything except that.”
• Expressing his love for watches and cars, Ram Kapoor shared, “Watches and cars are the only things I love, so people who can afford these watches have fantastic watch collections. It’s just that a lot of people who have it, like to keep quiet about it. Even if we want to keep quiet unfortunately because I am in the public eye, the media gets to know about it. Yes, I do have a car collection. I have a Ferrari, a Porsche but the thing is we don’t like to show it off.”

Squid Game Season 3 fans, we have exciting news in store for you. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has spilled the beans on the upcoming season. As he said, it will be “dark and bleak.”

Hwang Dong-hyuk told The Guardian, “The world, as I observe it, has less hope. I wanted to explore questions like, ‘What is the very last resort of humankind? And do we have the will to give future generations something better?’ After watching all three seasons, I hope we can each ask ourselves, ‘How much humanity do I have left in me?’

The Korean drama, which is known for its deadly twists and turns, will not see a “happy ending”, said the creator. 

“People like a happy ending. I’m like that too. But some stories, by nature, can’t have one. If you try to force one, the essence is compromised. If a story is holding up a mirror to something, then it’s not always a happy ending. Squid Game is no exception,” he added. Lee Jung-jae, who plays hapless hero turned vigilante Gi-hun, also shared his two cents on Squid Game’s plot twists and how the team wanted to keep the messaging clear. 

“The finale was something even I didn’t expect. So I’m sure a lot of fans will not see it coming. I think a lot of people will have different reactions. It’s definitely going to spur a lot of conversation,” he said.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Sardaar Ji 3 hit the cinema screens worldwide on Friday, June 27, 2025. Despite skipping a theatrical release in India due to backlash towards the casting of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, the film has found success in Pakistan. The horror comedy has reportedly gone housefull in Pakistani cinemas, showcasing Diljit’s enduring popularity across borders.

Pakistan-based movie theater Cinegold Plex shared glimpses of Sardaar Ji 3‘s sold-out shows in its Instagram Story. The collage of two images showed the audience enjoying the film in theaters. The side note read, “Sardaar Ji 3 is Housefull!” They also tagged Hania Aamir in their post.Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is under fire for sharing screen space with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. The film recently had an International release, skipping screenings in India in the wake of the diplomatic and military tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to deny certification to the film. As a result, the makers decided to skip the film’s theatrical release in India altogether.

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor has a heartfelt wish for sister, actor Karisma Kapoor on her 51st birthday. On Wednesday, Kareena Kapoor shared a note on Instagram, her first post since the death of businessman Sunjay Kapur, who was married to Karisma Kapoor from 2003 to 2016.

Known for his witty one-liners, Salman Khan does not shy away from roasting even his friends and family members. Recently, the actor took a dig at his brother Sohail Khan’s failed marriage with his ex-wife Seema Sajdeh.

During his appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Salman shared anecdotes from his Galaxy Apartments home in Bandra. The superstar shared how his home has always had an open-door policy for guests.

Recalling an incident with celebrity photographer Avinash Gowariker, Salman Khan said, “He said he would stay for a few days until he found a house. A few years later, I asked him what happened to the house hunt. He said, ‘I found one a few days after coming here, but I subleased it because your house has such a great vibe.’”

Bringing his brother Sohail into the conversation, Salman added, “Usi dauran Sohail ne bhaag kar shadi karli. Ab woh bhi bhag gayi hain [During that time, Sohail eloped (with Seema) and now even she has run away].”Continuing the story, the actor explained that Sohail asked Avinash to empty the room to make space for him and Seema. To which, Avinash replied, “This is not fair, how can you get married like this?”

Sohail and Seema eloped and got married with an Arya Samaj wedding followed by a nikkah in 1998. The couple welcomed their first son, Nirvan, in 2000 and their second son, Yohan, in 2011. They separated in 2022 after 24 years of marriage. Seema is now dating her ex-fiance, Vikram Ahuja.

On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film featured Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar and Sathyaraj in key roles. It is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
